Before and After a Consultation with Spatial Impact

On frequent occasions during the interview process, the client mentioned the concept of a ‘Lady’s Work Space’. Aspects describing such a space involved listening, resting, pondering, enjoyable reading, writing, thinking, supporting needs, the ability ‘to be,’ allowing the work part to be hidden at times and the welcome part to come out, joy in entering and being in the space, to be inspired, and for the space to allow transcendence into greater understandings and being. It was to be a personal place for mind, body, spirit as the focus was on writing and research. A priority of the client was to have space in this room to physically rest in a prone position.

“Susan’s response to my situation was immediate, sensitive to my time, décor, and budget needs.  With each step she inspired me not only to fantastic use of my space, she modeled professional work values which continue to inform my business. She accomplished with me a collaborative plan for my space by her expert, deep listening to my needs and visions.  My work has moved with such ease and joy in my revitalized space.”         Suzan McVicker
