Questions and Answers about Spatial Impact

When to use Spatial Impact?
Anytime! It’s important to know where to put your dollars and energy - not guess. If you are planning to remodel - that’s a great time. If you are not able to hire an architect or a designer and know some changes are necessary that you might be able to do on your own - that’s another good time. If you are making changes in marketing materials – this is an excellent opportunity to focus on your space as a part of the marketing venue. And then there is simple curiosity. How is your space 'talking' and what is it 'saying'? Doesn't everyone want to know?

Why hire Spatial Impact?
We know and look at spaces with a trained and educated eye for marketing the professional you through the lens of what is important to a client. Our job is to make your space easy for the client to learn about you and feel great about doing business with you. Plus, familiar space is difficult to see and evaluate. Spatial Impact is that objective and knowledgeable eye that sees and explains why any change makes such a difference. We help teach you about your space.

What is unique about Spatial Impact?
Spatial Impact looks at spaces and how they prompt our behaviors. Our physical environment reveals information that ‘cues’ our thoughts and actions. The work of Spatial Impact is grounded in a young interdisciplinary field of research called environmental psychology (in the Western world) which collaborates with the behavioral sciences (sociology, anthropology, economics), psychologies (developmental, social, cognitive specializations) and the design professions (architecture, interior design, landscape architecture). In the Eastern world, the ancient art of Feng Shui, created several thousand years ago, also assists people in their environments by using a different set of techniques. With an appreciation of both environmental psychology and Feng Shui, Spatial Impact adds the marketing lens by asking what in the physical environment impacts a client to trust and purchase services from you.

Does Spatial Impact provide services beyond the consulting?
Spatial Impact does not implement any of the recommended changes. Being independent of commissions from service providers, this allows the consulting to stand on its own merits. Suggestions may be made that will need the expertise of an architect, designer, sign company, or furniture supplier to be completed. The consulting report guides your work with any needed service professionals.
